The best way to take Tramadol is as follows:

Adults (over 16 years of age): The suggested dose for TRAMACET® is 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours, up to a daily maximum of 8 tablets, depending on the degree of pain alleviation.

To increase tolerability, certain individuals can benefit from an initial titration dose of TRAMACET® 18.75 mg/162.5 mg administered every 4 to 6 hours.

You can take TRAMACET ® with food.

If well tolerated, the dosage of TRAMACET® (tramadol 150 mg/paracetamol 1300 mg) should be increased by one tablet every three days, up to a maximum of four tablets (tramadol 150 mg/paracetamol 1300 mg) per day, for the treatment of chronic pain. Then, as needed, TRAMACET® can be given every 6 to 8 hours up to a maximum of 8 tablets per day. The titration dose that produces the lowest rate of treatment discontinuation is advised based on experience with tramadol LCH, one of the ingredients in TRAMACET®.

Patients under the age of 16: Tramacet ®’s safety and effectiveness have not been verified in patients under the age of 16.

Elderly: There are no discernible variations in safety or pharmacokinetics between persons over 65 and younger adults.
